It's a great chance to test your mettle against other seniors while enjoying a getaway to the outdoor playground of the West. Intro to Polo Clinic with Bend Polo Club (Tickets Required)

Bend Polo Club is offering two interactive Intro to Polo Clinics for all rider skill levels! You'll learn the basics of polo, how to swing a mallet on a horse, and rules of the game. Learn from Henri du Toit, professional clinician and polo player for over 25 years.

No riding experience is necessary! Ages 16 and older. Spaces are limited.

Fly Fishing 101 with Mary Ann Dozer (Tickets Required)

For anglers who have fished a couple of times. This class will give you the foundation of knowledge you need to begin your pursuit of fly fishing. If you haven't fly fished before, or in the last year, it is suggested that you do a guided day of fishing and then follow-up with this class.

The course content will introduce you to all the skills you need to get on the water from casting, to fly selection, to tying on flies.

Pancakes in the Park at The Cove Palisades State Park

Make sure the family is summer ready. Fill up on pancakes for State Park's Day 9-10 am. (First 100 people) 10 - 12 pm - Tour a fire engine, meet Smokey Bear and learn about campfire safety. Get water safety tips from The Oregon Marine Board. Tour a Jefferson County Sheriff's Vehicle and get tips on how to keep your family and your personal property safe. Oregon State Parks will present Hug A Tree and Survive! and Leave No Trace. If that's not enough, PGE will tell you all about fish in Lake Billy Chinook!

2018 Bend Beer Chase by Cascade Relays (Tickets Required)

The Bend Beer Chase is a one-day six-person running relay of approximately 50 miles, consisting of 12 legs of varying distance (4-8miles per leg).  The course starts from Bend, travels to Redmond, to Sisters and back to finish in Bend. On a 6-person team, each person runs 2 legs; On a 3-person team, each person runs 4 legs… you get the idea.

Badlands Wilderness Trail Work with ONDA (Registration Required)

Saturday June 2 is National Trails Day and we will celebrate with trail work! The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) plans to convert old two-track roads to trail. This work continues the implementation of the OBW Wilderness Management Plan. Volunteers will assist the BLM in road-to-trail conversions to help create a wider network of trails within the Wilderness area overlapping with Oregon Desert Trail.
